Program note

A pioneer of contemporary Canadian music, S. C. Eckhardt-Gramatté (1899-1974) is now recognized as a cornerstone of its expansion in the West of the country. An accomplished educator, she composed this late work (1966) at the request of the University of Saskatchewan Regina Campus Chamber Group, which will present what appears to be its only public performance, a creation in 1967.
