Francisez-moi (“Frenchify me”) reflects upon the question, what is francisation(?) by way of several musical ready-mades (Léonin, Adam de la Halle, Guillaume de Machaut, Janequin, Lully, Rouget de Lisle, Satie) and texts (Adam de la Halle, Guillaume de Machaut, Henri Michaux, Clément Marot, Molière, Rouget de Lisle) as well as commentary from numerous French speakers, from here and elsewhere, living and deceased.

Scored for flute (piccolo), clarinet, violin, cello, percussion, piano and “tape,” Francisez-moi was composed for Ensemble Paramirabo.
