Program note

Signals drift and collide — the circular speech of vital monitors suspended in air, rotating without center. In the blur of recovery, sound is direction, a woven map drawn in pulses and pattern. In a cave by the sea water droplets mark time. Each fragment illuminates space, each reflection obscures distance. The ocean, filtered through stone, bends through each crevice and marked surface. This water coalesces and finds rhythm over the course of an eternal dream. Through the bridge of memory, the sonic imprint of these two places — mechanical sterility and secretive erosion — resonate and seem to echo each other, as if in quiet conversation. This piece follows those traces.
